I realize this is a Dove bar. But a Dove bar is just a fancy Eskimo Pie.
Now, Eskimo Pies are not technically Southern (a bit of research revealed this).
But I associate them with my childhood in Georgia. They were a summer treat that had to be eaten outside so that when they melted, it would be on the grass. And the tops of my bare feet. Of course eating Eskimo Pies in 80+ degree weather means it will melt in mere moments. It required single-minded determination to make sure the entire thing was eaten before it would completely disintegrate.
